The Unsora connector lets Claude turn long videos into short clips and post them for you. Give Claude a podcast, stream, webinar, or interview, and Unsora finds the strongest moments and cuts them into Shorts, Reels, and TikToks, reframed to the aspect ratio you choose and with captions if you want them. You can also ask for specific moments in plain language, such as “every time we talk about pricing”. When your clips are ready, Claude can post them for you. You can publish now, schedule for later, or send one clip to several platforms at once. Claude can also show you how your posts are performing. The connector works in Claude on the web, Claude Desktop, Claude mobile, and Claude Code.

What you need

  • An Unsora account. Sign up at tryunsora.com.
  • Unsora credits for clipping.
  • To post clips, you need a paid Unsora plan and at least one social account connected in the Unsora web app. Unsora supports YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky, X, and Google Business Profile.
Only clip videos you own or have permission to use.

Connect Unsora to Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings > Connectors and select Browse connectors.
  2. Search for Unsora and select Connect.
  3. Sign in to your Unsora account and approve access.
Unsora’s tools are now available in your conversations. To turn the connector on or off for a conversation, open the + menu and select Connectors.
On Team and Enterprise plans, an organization Owner may need to enable the connector before members can use it.

Add it by URL

If Unsora isn’t listed in the directory, add it as a custom connector:
  1. Open Settings > Connectors and select Add custom connector.
  2. Enter https://claude-mcp.tryunsora.com/mcp as the URL.
  3. Select Add, then Connect, and sign in to Unsora.

Claude Code

Run:
Then run /mcp in Claude Code, select unsora, and choose Authenticate.

Example prompts

  • “Clip this podcast into five 30-second vertical clips with captions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID”
  • “Find every moment where we talk about pricing in this webinar and make 9:16 clips: https://example.com/webinar.mp4”
  • “Cut this stream into highlights for YouTube Shorts.”
  • “Schedule the second clip to TikTok and Instagram tomorrow at 9am with the caption ‘Pricing, explained in 30 seconds’.”
  • “How did my posts do over the last 30 days?”
In Claude on the web and in Claude Desktop, Unsora shows interactive panels in the conversation. You can watch clips play, finish a post in the composer, and browse your posts, library, and analytics.

Add a video

Claude can clip a video from any of these sources:
  • A YouTube link or a direct video file URL, such as a link to an .mp4 file. Page links from TikTok, Instagram, or Vimeo don’t work. Download those videos and upload the file instead.
  • A file on your computer. Ask Claude to open your Unsora library, then select Upload in the library panel. The file goes straight to Unsora’s storage through a one-time upload link, and Claude never reads the file itself.
  • A file in your Unsora library. Ask Claude to use a clip or upload you already have.
In Claude Code, Claude can upload a local file for you with a one-time upload link.

Choose clip settings

Clipping spends credits, so Claude confirms these settings before it starts: Long videos take several minutes to process. The clips panel updates by itself, and you can ask Claude to check the job at any time.

Post and schedule clips

Claude creates one post for each clip. For each post, you choose the caption, the accounts, and when to publish:
  • Publish now. Unsora posts the clip to your accounts right away.
  • Schedule. Unsora publishes the clip at the time you set.
  • Save as a draft. You can finish the post later.
Where Claude can show panels, it opens the post composer with your caption, clip, accounts, and time already filled in. You can set options for each platform there, such as the YouTube title and visibility, TikTok privacy, or a Pinterest board, before you post. If a post fails on some accounts, ask Claude to retry it. Unsora only retries the accounts that failed and never posts twice to an account that succeeded.

Tools

The connector provides these tools. Claude asks for your approval before it runs a tool that changes data, unless you’ve allowed that tool to run without asking. The interactive panels also use three read-only helper tools that Claude doesn’t call directly. clipping_status updates clipping progress, pinterest_boards lists your Pinterest boards, and tiktok_creator_info loads your TikTok posting options. Every tool declares MCP annotations (readOnlyHint, destructiveHint, and openWorldHint), so Claude can tell read-only tools apart from tools that change your data or publish outside Unsora.
Deleting a post in Unsora doesn’t remove content that’s already published on a platform. Deleting a clip or upload from your library can’t be undone.

Security and permissions

This section is for IT admins who review the connector.
  • Remote server only. The connector is a hosted MCP server at https://claude-mcp.tryunsora.com/mcp, using the Streamable HTTP transport. It doesn’t install or run any code on your computer.
  • OAuth sign-in. Each user signs in with their own Unsora account through OAuth 2.1, and Claude registers itself as an OAuth client automatically. The connector requests the openid, profile, email, public_metadata, private_metadata, and offline_access scopes. These identify the user’s Unsora account and keep the connection signed in.
  • Scoped to one account. The connector can only read and change data in the Unsora account the user signed in with. It uses the same Unsora API and permissions as the Unsora web app.
  • No posting without a request. Unsora publishes only to the social accounts the user chooses, at the time the user asks for. Users connect and manage their social accounts in the Unsora web app, not in Claude.
  • API keys. As an alternative to OAuth, you can send an Unsora API key in the Authorization: Bearer header. Treat API keys like passwords. See Get started to create one.
  • Revoking access. To disconnect, open Settings > Connectors in Claude, select Unsora, and choose Disconnect. To revoke an API key, delete it in the Unsora dashboard.

Data the connector sends to Unsora

When you use the connector, Claude sends Unsora the details needed for each request:
  • video links and files you upload
  • clip settings
  • captions
  • the accounts you choose
  • schedule times
Unsora doesn’t receive your conversation history or any files you share with Claude in the conversation. See the privacy policy to learn how Unsora collects, uses, and keeps data, and read the terms of service.

Troubleshooting

Sign-in doesn’t finish, or Claude says the connector isn’t authorized. Open Settings > Connectors, select Unsora, and choose Disconnect. Then connect again and finish the Unsora sign-in in the window that opens. Claude says the video link isn’t supported. Clipping only accepts YouTube links and direct video file URLs. For TikTok, Instagram, or Vimeo videos, download the file and upload it with the library’s Upload button. Clips are still processing. Long videos take several minutes. The clips panel updates by itself. You can also ask Claude to check the job again. Clipping fails because you’re out of credits. Ask Claude to check your credits, or check them at app.tryunsora.com. A post fails with “requires an active paid plan”. Scheduling and publishing need a paid plan. Check your plan at app.tryunsora.com. An account is missing. Claude only sees the accounts you connected in the Unsora web app. Connect the account there, then ask Claude again. A post is rejected with a list of issues. The media or caption breaks a platform rule, such as the video length, file size, image count, or caption length. The error names the rule for each platform. Ask Claude to adjust the post, or fix it in the composer. A post is only partly published. Ask Claude to retry it. Unsora only retries the accounts that failed.
