Create a post
Click New post and pick a format:
Pick the accounts (up to 10 per post), write the caption, and adjust each platform’s settings, such as the YouTube title or Pinterest board. The composer only offers accounts whose platform supports the format; see Platforms.
Then choose how it goes out:
- Add to queue — takes the next free posting time (see below)
- Schedule — a date and time you pick
- Publish now
- Save draft — keeps it without a time
Posting times and the queue
Queue shows what goes out next and your posting times: a weekly set of times, such as Monday to Friday at 9:00, in a timezone you choose. Add to queue puts a post in the next posting time that doesn’t already have a post scheduled within a minute of it. You can set up to 70 posting times. If you haven’t set any posting times, schedule posts with a date and time instead. Posting times are a dashboard feature. Over the API and MCP, passscheduled_at for each post.
Calendar and posts
- Calendar shows scheduled and published posts by date.
- Posts lists every post with tabs for All, Scheduled, Drafts, Published and Needs attention, and filters for format and account.
- Home shows your posting timeline: what went out and what’s next.
Post statuses
What you can do with a post:
- Edit — drafts, scheduled, failed and partly published posts
- Publish now — drafts and scheduled posts
- Retry failed — failed and partly published posts; only the accounts that failed are retried
- Duplicate — copy any post into a new draft
- Delete — any post except one that’s publishing right now. Deleting doesn’t need a plan.
Timezones
Times show in your scheduler timezone, which you set with your posting times. A post scheduled over the API takes its owntimezone field.
